This stormy June wedding at Kleffner Ranch in Helena MT created a different meaning for the idiom “a perfect storm”, and turned the Montana downpour into a beautiful and magical evening.
You can’t count on everything in life to work out how you originally planned.
But, when you find your soulmate, it doesn't matter if it rains on your wedding day.
The weather took a turbulent turn at Kleffner Ranch for this early June Saturday to celebrate Heather and Nick as they took their first steps into marriage.
Originally designed to take place in the grove by the stream, what became known as the groom’s “first decision of their married career” switched the location indoors.
It was the correct decision.
The grass, the barn, and the surrounding Montana landscape were soaked but the spirit of joy and love wasn't dampened at all.
Guests huddled in the barn as music and laughter were muffled by the emerging rain.
As the bride took her first steps down the aisle the downpour intensified, creating the perfect moment with the sound of soft music and rain on the tin roof.
Outside of the weather conditions and their fingerprint on this day, so many other things made this day unique;
the couple's handwritten vows, including stories of how they met…
how they created their own secret languages that were later decoded by their officiant…
and her unique engagement ring- an aquamarine stone, his birthstone.
Even though the weather tried to steal the day, these two know they can count on each other through every storm, and every moment throughout the day made that perfectly clear.
